The Banksia Room provides places for up to 25 children per day with 3 permanent staff and one part time staff member.
The program within the Banksia Room incorporates all the key learning areas into interested play based learning opportunities.
Learning opportunities within this room are about fine tuning the children’s skills and abilities to be a cooperative member of the community. Our staff place emphasis on enhancing their social and emotional skills that are important to understand their sense of self and the emotions of others, challenging their thinking and extending on their awareness of maths, science and literacy through discovery and experimentation.
The Banksia & Melaleuca Rooms have a strong focus on preschool learning. The program nurtures children in self-esteem, well being & development.
Planned learning is aimed at promoting children’s critical thinking, stimulating their investigative, problem solving & exploration skills. Through play-based activities children are encouraged to expand their knowledge and skills in literacy, numeracy and socialisation.
