Encouraging Individuality

At Salamander Child Care Centre we work with children to develop their awareness and curiosity of the world they live in through interest based projects that incorporate the many languages of learning. Children are encouraged to develop a greater sense of self and are supported to achieve the independence they strive for.

To achieve this we encourage children to cooperate, we enhance their self-esteem, develop their problem solving skills and encourage their ability to interact with others. Our staff use positive guidance when guiding children’s behaviour and encourage children to take responsibility for their actions.

Children are provided with opportunities to develop friendships in a supportive environment. They learn how to manage their own feeling to be a cooperative learner and a positive member of a community.
