Day to Day
Salamander Early Education is open from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. We are closed on Public Holidays, but families are not charged if their usual days fall on a Public Holiday.
We provide sunscreen for the children on a daily basis, however, if your child requires a specific brand of sunscreen, we do request that you send it in with your child.
We do not provide nappies at the Centre as we find that parents have their own preference when it comes to nappies and it is impossible to cater to everyone's personal preference.
In the Kitchen
We are extremely fortunate to have a wonderful full-time chef working at the Centre. The Chef cooks all meals on site and uses local produce where possible. We provide morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack so you can rest assured that your children will have plenty of opportunities to eat throughout the day.
The Chef creates a 5 week rotating menu which is changed each season so that we can incorporate seasonal fruit and vegetables. The menu is sent out to families on a weekly basis but we have included a sneak peak into some of the wonderful meals that are provided below:

The children of Salamander Early Education are active members of our Community. All age groups engage in regular excursions including trips to the Blue Lagoon, the local Shopping Centre, bush walks and bush picnics.
At Salamander, we value the learning that occurs "beyond the fence" and we appreciate that in order to truly meet the needs of our children, we have to explore environments beyond what we are able to provide within the Centre.
