Deborah Rosser (AKA Baby whisperer)
Hello, my name is Deborah.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in early childhood teaching from Armidale University and have over 30 years experience in the Early Childhood profession. I have worked as a Team Mentor for many years in a leadership role and have experience in all rooms across the Centre, with all ages 0-6 years.
I believe the environment plays a major role in the success of an early childhood program. It should enhance the children’s interests in all developmental domains. I believe learning in early in an environment is done most successfully through play spaces that can be visited, explored, and revisited again and again.
In the last few years I have been fascinated by the concept of creating a ‘Circle of Security’ where children feel the assurance of being loved and cared for while they are enjoying an educational environment. Security and trust are very important components as well, of my relationship with each child and their family.
I love being part of the Salamander early education ‘Team’ It is like a big family and we all learn from each other, inspire each other and support each other when needed.
